I don't really have emotions. When they come they are fleeting except for depression or sadness. I just don't feel bad about the things I do. I do have homicidal thoughts where I'll get into a really different state of mind and think it is okay to kill another human being. I haven't, but still. Anytime I feel joy it is very quick, then it is gone. I can also cut my emotions off when I want. Something I've noticed recently.

Any suggestions?

i have same exact issue and i think it just made me lose a close online friend

i tried many ways, like writing, doing art work, day dreaming about better things, getting busy but so far it just gets worse by time and hardly if i ever felt happy

i wish i can find a way and help you and everyone, i'm sorry you feel like this

It sounds to me like there might be rage hiding beneath your depression.

I thought but I'm not angry all of the time. I just don't know, honestly.

I have the same issue, though I've never had homicidal thoughts.
I don't have many emotions: contentment, irritation, discomfort, and nothing. I feel nothing the majority of the time.
I display emotions in conversation, but I am only mimicking what I've learned to be appropriate. Usually, you are meant to mimic the speaker's expression. They find it very rude if you do not.
I can cut my emotions off as well, though I'm probably just very good at ignoring them.

I used to have the same issue with you, Endless Cravings but after a few of therapy sessions and some medicines, I am getting better. Have you seen the Doctor/Psychiatrist and talked about this?

you just summed up my emotional state, including the homicidal thoughts, unfortunately I've no suggestion on how to get rid of them. i am on anti depressants but they just really keep my mood level so there isn't as much downers, kind of extremes of the emotions. am if i find a safe way of getting rid of homicidal thoughts i will let ya know :/

I wasn't sure whether you had lost the ability to feel or never felt in the first place.
If you did have emotions but have ceased experiencing them, it could be a self-protection mechanism.
On the other hand, there are people who simply aren't the emotional type.

Pretty sure I'm somewhere on the spectrum. I have traits, but it's whatever. I've already taken quizzes and such and other things.

Point. If theyou won't take me then that's it. because i appear smiling, happy, cracking jokes then ok.

I can't make them. They won't get anything done until it starts affecting them. Or being a problem.

True, you can't make them - but you can talk to a guidance counselor or etc and let them know what is going on

Lol. Doing that will only have her calling my parents then me getting punished when I get home for diagnosing myself with another one of my hypochondriac fantasies or whatever.

It wouldn't be you self diagnosing - it would be you asking for help and the guidance counselor advising what you do or do not need and attempting to be sure you get it
Thanks for this!

'm just wondering if at other times you feel sympathy or empathy? How do you feel when you see people in jeopardy or having a rough time?

Last time I spoke to a guidance counsellor she called my parents over something as trivial to me like religion.

I usually don't care. Or I'll ask them what's wrong just to entertain myself. But, mostly, I just don't care.

QUESTION FOR OP...Do you feel that if lack of emotions is effecting ur self-esteem, life functioning, or relationships? And do you feel like you might harm yourself or others?
Do you feel you need / want help?

Are these those type of questions that if I say "yes" to it I'm obviously not a sociopath because of course "Sociopaths think there is noting wrong with them."

Not self esteem, I'm having trouble functioning around my teacher in an "appropriate" manner because I want to hurt her really badly. I KNOW I won't harm myself. If I get the desire to hurt others and it's strong then I'll either do that or attempt to not harm someone. Considering I don't like jail, prison, or any type of consequences
