Weird question about finding someone

Back in 2004 I had a classmate that worked the counselors desk as a secretary at the community college I went to for awhile.

I can't for the life of me remember her name. I'm not being a stalker, but I want to find this woman on fb, does anyone have any advice on how to find a person when you dont know their names?

It's kind of a weird question I know.

Funny you mentioned Facebook, for Mark Zuckerberg came up with the idea in 2004 while attending Harvard University. At the beginning of the school year, Harvard distributed a publication with the photos and names of fellow students.

I would call the community college and ask if they have such a publication.

I'm sorry what should I ask for when I call?

I would ask to order a yearbook from the year that you think this person graduated.

yea I agree that its a weird question to ask total strangers online how to locate someone online. especially if you are concerned with being confused with being a stalker.

heres why I find it strange...

for all we know we could be pointing a stalker to locating their victims. (not saying you are, just saying in the grand scheme of internet caution theres no real way of knowing whether a person is who they say they are and why they are trying to find someone online. basic internet safety rules that the police give out here in my location is to never tell someone who is searching for you or someone else where they \you actually are.....unless you know this person in your personal life outside of your computer life.

another reason I agree with your statement that this is a strange thing to ask us is because I know many people who have been in and are presently in domestic violence situations and online stalking is part of what now happens with domestic violence. I dont know you personally in my life outside the computer so I have no real way of knowing I wont accidentally be pointing an abuser to their victim..

if you are concerned about this person you can contact your local police department and they will help you locate this person's name and where to find them.

the only other thing i can safely tell you is to let her find you, fill in your own facebook profile including where you went to school then others who went to or worked at that school will get suggestions on their timeline if they have also included their location, school and other personal information.

Yeah yer probably right. But I'm not a stalker. Thanks for the advice though.
