yes it is though some locations now call this parts therapy in reference to normal parts of self called the ego, id and super ego, some locations call this inner child therapy based on everyone has normal parts of their self called the adult, parent and child, depending upon circumstances and situations people naturally act like a parent with their self or responsible adult or react and behave as they did in childhood....

my point this is still used and relevant therapy approach though it is now called by many different names.

your own ( or a) treatment provider can tell you what it is called in your own location.

Hello grst1313: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So...welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
