I need to find out what might be wrong with my grandson. He goes through different compulsions every few months. The latest is not swallowing his spit and drooling and spitting all over. We are extremely worried about him. If anyone know something about this please help us. Thank you.

Yes - how old is he, and has he seen a doctor about this issue?

You say his obsessions have changed. There are basically three main conditions that lead to obsessions (some others can as well but I'll stick to these), OCD, tics/Tourettes and PANS.
A doctor should be contacted and it is quite important to establish if this is a pure mental condition or PANS, because the treatments differ. |

This may not be an obsession at all rather a medical condition. This is why I'm interested to know his age.
