Hi
I ended up with tinnitus and very severe noise sensitivity after twenty five years on SSRI's. I tried other SSRI's and this problem became much worse. It is permanent and Im stuck with it. Life is close to unbearable because of everything hurts my ears. I want to try ocd medication because my ocd/tics is so extreme I have no life. CBT and exposure therapy made me much worse so its drugs or nothing now. All the med's seem to have tinnitus as a risk, some very much so. If I already have it, it is going to get even worse! And never go back. I have trawled the net and exhausted because so far it's all seretonin related, or a mix of that and others. Its the seretonin that causes the tinnitus in some people. Anyone know of any drugs that do not have this issue? I'm desperate. Thanks... |

I wish I had a great suggestion for you, but I don't. I'm so sorry you have the tinnitus. That sounds just terrible. What does you doctor say?

No idea if this info is correct though. A doctor told me to try Geodon for OCD and that she had treated several patients with success. I think she lied though cuz she lied a lot. It was a bad med for me. |
