Hi all my pyschiatrist told me I'm mentally unstable ? I just want to know what exactly this means? I have had depression anxiety and adhd ? I just want to understand what this means exactly? Thank you

Well, it's hard to say EXACTLY why she used that term in that particular situation, since I don't know the criteria of the conversation leading up to her saying that.

Pretty good guess is that she said your mentally unstable because you have depression, anxiety, and adhd. Mentally unstable is a pretty general term. God knows I'm pretty mentally unstable too

It could mean that your moods shift rapidly, that what you feel is not based in reality, that the way you present yourself is not how you really feel, that you shift from one mood to another without external stimuli. It could be so many things but you need to ask your pdoc to explain what he ment by it, that's the only way you'll know for sure.
