I've been experiencing some auditory hallucinations, nothing too clear, other than hearing what sounds like my name. Also, when listening to some of my favorite classical musical pieces by heart I hear the piece differently depending on which ear is up. If I am laying in my bed and have one ear to the pillow, I hear it one way vs. if the other is facing the pillow. It's not just a slight change, it's as if someone made the pieces with a totally different instrument, or made them for a cartoon.

Any ideas?

Much appreciated!

Hi,
Have a hearing test. Often one ear is stronger than the other and that may distort your hearing. Small interferences of whisting or ringing noises often intrude and stress may also have an effect.

Yes start with a doctor. It could be as minor as wax in an ear. It could be a physiical problem too.

Yes see your doctor, wax build up and infections can cause this.
