I just want to know if this has ever been known to work in reverse

I know that a lot of the time it affects people when it is winter time, but for me I am feel so much more depressed/ unstable in the summertime, and I wonder if seasonal affective disorder has been known to do that- work in reverse.

(I wanted to ask this question ages ago, but didn't really know how to word it)

Hi,
As a long time sufferer from SAD, I may have an idea! If you need longer than 6 hours sleep, the long daylight hours may interfer with your sleep.
Light is one of the main quantum energy used by the subconscious as waking elemen during sleep.

I get more aggitated and 'up' during the major changes especially as the light returns as we enter spring. I too get depressed come midsummer.

Could your own experience be circumstantial? Is it things or not doing things that might result in your melancholoy?

I go through a grieving process each summer. I was extremely active outdoors prior to my crash and, mainly owning to lack of finances, I am no longer able to do so. I have a great deal of sadnes, and resentment over this. I constant am crying and blubbering. My hospitalizations have generally been during this period of the year. It is frustrating as I know that I should be happier and relatively elated come the complete return of daylight.
