All of the hurt, trauma, abuse and conscious hell. Do you think that we will actually ever escape it or is it too insidious to let us out that easy?

Could I, or anyone, ever truly be free?

I don't believe in the afterlife so I don't think I'm gonna feel anything when I die
Thanks for this!

I believe in afterlife & I believe at the time of death we are healed from ALL the things we suffer from it this life. It IS a promise that God has made.

Hi,
Think of dull, cold and foggy day. The Sun is always there underneath the clouds! There is a tomorrow!
Thanks for this!

We are all just speculating. There is a school of thought that we keep working on being the best we can be, and that does follow us in future lives.

An attempt offers no guarantees and many attempts go just plain wrong. Admittedly, there are times in my life where I doubted the existence of God. I cannot explain all the suffering in the world but, for me, because I am so hardheaded and foolish it seems that suffering helped strengthen my faith. Faith and prayer has helped heal me. I know that no two situations are the same but I think there is a possibility that, if you stick around for a long time with us, you can recover from all of the hurt, trauma and abuse you have suffered. Yes, looking back may always be hard but the future could get better.

In the words of Bring me the Horizon: "When you die the only kingdom you see is 2ft wide and 6ft deep." That's my belief anyway...that there is no afterlife. None of us can ever be sure though.

I believe we will be relieved of our pain when death comes. Sad we have to wait so long and that life here is so brutal.
Thanks for this!

I think death is the only rest of pain and suffering, but at the same time we must not give up our lives before the time comes. Many people are suffering in this life, and as we've found ourselves trapped in this life, maybe all we can do is to help each others to lessen our pains and sufferings and to comfort each others.
