Hi, I live near Boston on the North Shore. I need a therapist for myself. I have a son that is 22 with anxiety, depression and autism. He is not working and didn't go back to school this semester. He is getting worse instead of better. He has a great therapist and psychiatrist. Can someone please direct me towards a website or a group or individual therapist near me that deals with parents of adult children with severe mental health issues? Thank you.

Hello Snowing Again: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

I'm sorry I cannot be of any help with regard to your specific request. Have you accessed the "Find a Therapist" function here on PC?

https://psychcentral.com/find-help/

Perhaps other members may have other suggestions.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

Hello and welcome to PC. Your local NAMI would be a great place to start: NAMI Massachusetts | National Alliance On Mental Illness of Massachusetts
