What does an average day consist of for you? I often feel chronically bored, I've posted about it several times and I'm just curious what a daily routine looks like for you, whoever you are. I'll say that I'm a public school science teacher, and am struggling a little with that. I get up after at least two snoozes on my alarm. I typically start the coffee and start warming up the pan cook 2-4 eggs and sometimes I make toast as well. Then I do some studying of my subject material while I eat my breakfast. Get dressed brush my teeth and walk to school. After schools out I try to make myself exercise (it's a struggle some days) read or fool around on the internet feed my cats and clean their box and go to bed. I've been trying to make weekends more exciting with the unusually warm weather recently. I've been hiking the last three Saturdays but in general I feel very bored. Trapped in a mundane life. One nice thing about teaching is that it does sometimes offer a chance to shake up the routine, but after even a couple of weeks I'm bored, sometimes literally to tears again. Is this just a component of dysthymia that one always has to live with? Or is there a cure for boredom.

My typical day is very boring. I have to work extremely hard to not feel terribly alone and isolated. I treat each day kind of like a minute-to-minute meditation, or else I'd be severely depressed. By that I mean I follow my breathing and try to live in each moment.

I will be starting a couple of volunteer positions soon, fortunately. I am awfully tired of watching TV.

Boredom and depression are related. If it gets overwhelming, seek some counseling.

Up at 515am - coffee and emails/forum/News
7am - walk to market (yep every morning)
8am - 12noon - art
12 - 5 - BORED - try to fill the empty space with reading, writing, blogging
5pm - dinner
5-730 - bored, Bored, BORED

Every other weekend my boyfriend is in town and I then do a great deal.
