I want to ask that how attachment disorder feels like in adults?
I myself feel it very very difficult to get attached to someone even my friends but if I get attached I say it to myself many times that you should not be attached it would end like everything ends I constantly and consciously dictate myself to have no feelings for others. its because I belief whenever I get attached to someone something very bad happens. so I constantly dictate myself to not get attached. but if I allow myself to get attached and have feelings for someone like a friend then I become extremely possessive everything starts bothering me that she should not talk to anyone else .. anyone else should not talk to her she is only my friend she should not be hanging out with others... I want to know what is this happening to me??

Hello potterj: I cannot address your concerns. However I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

Perhaps this article on Attachment Disorder may be of some interest:

https://psychcentral.com/disorders/r...rder-symptoms/

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
