Does anybody use this for help with depression or anxiety?

Absolutely...I now have a herbalist who highly recommended Turmeric to raise my temperature and assist in strengthening my immune system. I was astounded that it yielded positive results so quickly...there is a lot to be said for supplimental herbal remedies.
I use it in straight powder form blended with black pepper...washed down with cider vinegar & warm water. Please Note: It is also important to consult your prescribing doctor to insure that supplements won't interfere with the effectiveness of any other medications you may be taking.

I've read about people using turmeric to help alleviate side effects when coming off of an antidepressant. I am looking for ways to increase serotonin levels through my diet, to make the transition off of sertraline easier, and cooking with more turmeric is one thing I'm considering.

tumeric is one of the ingredients for a daily smoothy my psychiatrist recommended to boost my mood from depression. It was really working well too (making them was just too high a cost however).
