Hi.
I have a problem, I've no idea where to ask it.
I keep constantly thinking about electronics (science in general). if I don't understand something I just can't rest, I get anxious and feel like I'm on fire.
I can't stop thinking about it. when i'm trying to sleep my brain just keeps and keeps ranting about electronics. thinking how to do something or how things work.
this is causing me alot of problems as I can't control it. my finals are near and I just can't sit in a chair. I find myself making things a few hours later.

That is just common anxiety. Probably around the Finals. You probably find the subject matter to be boring. Thus your mind wanders. You like active problem solving. Just go with it.

I agree. The first thing that popped into my head was anxiety on account of finals. i would try to avoid electronic devices for about an hour before bedtime. I think that would help.

As a comp sci major, I noticed that before crunch time/finals I would try to sleep, but while in bed my mind would race trying to solve non-existant coding problems or algorithims for my programs that I didn't even need to write. Its hard to explain, but it sounds very similar to what your describing here. What helped for me was to not work on school for at least an hour before going to bed, and reading a book instead. Give that a try!
