I've been wondering about a way since I got a late start to aid my piano playing with self hypnosis. The usual comment is 'hey it's just hard and steady work so forget self hypnosis'. But I don't want to dismiss hypnosis as an aid-not some miracle way to become proficient overnight. If you find a dollar lying on the street you pick it up. You don't leave it there because it's not a thousand dollars. So in an effort to make better use of this resource I'm looking for a better understanding of what the subconscious is. Any thoughts, leads? From reading, as in past life regressions it's necessary to get really deep in the trance, as in the hypnotist taking you down over a period of two or three hours.

When I'm successful to some degree then it's like the mind is sluggish and I can barely bring up a thought. I guess that's where scripts come in but you need more than just words if possible. You need to implant a visual scenario like 'act as if you already have it'. That'd be like envisioning playing piano and people saying things like 'oh that's so beautiful' or just yourself thinking 'geez that is really pretty good'.

Meditation and Hypnosis are all valid ways to develop your talents. The sub conscious is a valid part of you.
