What is your most favorite time of the year and why? What is your least favorite time of the year and why? My most favorite time of the year is Spring since the weather is getting warmer but it is not too hot or too cold, days are getting longer and things don't seem as busy like it is during the holidays. My least favorite time of the year is Winter due to the extreme cold, short days, and don't like how busy it is during the holidays and having to spend time with people, including family members, that I don't want to be around.

Summer is my favorite time of year although I’m heat intolerant. The days are long and sunny, I love to float for hours in the pool and I get to spend more time with my daughter because she is out of school. My least is winter although I love the cold weather. The days are short and I have SAD. I also get extremely stressed about the holidays. I wish we could just skip them.

Even though it usually is the start of my SAD, I like October the best. I think I'm one of the only people in the world that likes that it gets darker sooner. There's something cozy about it. I like the aesthetic of the month, too.

February is hands down my least favorite time of the year. Winter is at its harshest and bleakest where I live, and my anxiety and depression are usually in full swing. Late August is my second least-favorite period.

I love autumn and spring (especially autumn). This last summer was nice, though.
Thanks for this!

Same here. I like everything about summer except for the extreme heat in July and August. Although this past summer was not too bad to be honest. Yeah the holidays are too stressful. Not so much thanksgiving. That is just simply a big dinner. I don’t mind it as much. I just really dislike Christmas and New Years. I wish we could skip the holidays. Especially New Years since it is totally pointless since it is just the change of a new number, a new year. And I find gift exchanges very forced. Why exchange gifts when you could get it yourself. If I have to get something for someone, I just get them a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant.

I agree. This past summer was actually not too bad compared to previous years. Same for last winter as well and hopefully it isn’t too bad this year too.

I don't like the heat, but mentally I feel much more stable in the summer. I prefer the cool weather, but autumn and winter seem to cause my depression and anxiety to intensify to an extreme. I guess I'd say spring is my favorite season, but it's so short here.

December is my favorite month, and winter my favorite season for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, the days are significantly shorter than the remainder of the year, and the sun sets earlier in the evening. Additionally, the weather tends to be much cloudier throughout the wintertime than the remainder of the year, and the temperature is significantly cooler. As for the month of December itself, I rather admire the Christmas lights and decorations around the city. Of course, there is Christmas itself, and then there is my birthday three days before. The overall atmosphere of winter is to my liking, really.

As for summer, I do live in Alabama, where it is miserably humid and hot, so the entire late spring to late summer is my least favorite time of the year. The long days, bright evenings, and sunny weather are depressing and uncomfortable, and the heat is downright unbearable. The only thing in which people seem interested in are sports, swimming, and beaches -- none of which I enjoy. Altogether, my mood significantly improves towards the winter than the summer.
Thanks for this!

I love each season for its ownbspecial reasons & the only thing I dont like about summer here in ky is the chiggars & ticks.

I love winter & especially snow. Lived in calif all my life until 10 years ago & I was the reverse snow bird. I would fly to Jackson Hole every February to enjoy winter sports & get my enjoyment out of snow. So I love Ky where we get a few weeks of snow every year exvept last winter where we got less than a day & not even enough to play in with my dogs. Sort of like Camelot. Dont have to clear off the snow. It will be gone in a week anyway.

Love spring. The dogwoods & redbud trees are gorgeous & everything sprouting out after dying back all winter is beautiful & love getting outside & clearing up the brush I didnt get cleared in the fall before it sprouts out.

Love summer for the long days which helps for getting yard work & fields mowed since it is cooler later on in the evening when light till 10pm. I love the fireflies, & the frogs & crickets that fill the night air with song...& the spring born wildlife that is finally coming out to visit. Have been enjoying my family of raccoons that were in need of some extra food this year. Its fun to bond with the wildlife from my woods.

Fall is an amazing time if year. The colors on the trees are always spacticular. My red maples & the bright yelliw ginko trees are unlike anything I have seen. I like the shorter days & cooler weather to finish up my work outside before winter hits & I live fall decorations.

There just isnt any season that I dont like equally well in its very own way

Spring and summer. Seeing life blossom and thrive lifts my spirit. I dislike fall and winter equally, those are the seasons of death to me. Everything's grey and cold and the trees gradually lose all their leaves...I don't like it.

Love Autumn, tolerate winter. Dislike intensely hot, humid days of summer, (but love moderate temps so I can go to the beach and rock pools to swim). Annoyed with spring because of allergies, otherwise perfect.

Wow. I know exactly what you mean. I know how you feel. Summer is the time of year we can jump in the pool and spend all day outdoors. Though the heat does slowly kill me ...

I think it's time for us to invest in an outdoor heated pool for the winter. I just need a backyard.

I write this in the midst of my least favorite time of the year. Marks a hefty list of anniversary dates of many near and dear to me no longer here.
My favorite time is the spring when the sun shines more again, the trees and flowers return to life and the air is crisp and sweet.
Summer is hit and miss depending of temperature conditions and the start of Autumn is typically lovely as the leaves change.
