I wondered if somebody can tell me the technical term for these symptoms so I can do some googling. The only word I can think is catatonia, but it's more mild than that.

So earlier today, I noticed that I couldn't verbally complete a sentence while talking to a couple of people. I would say a few words and then stop as if I heard something and am listening but I'm actually having trouble deciding what I want to say. I also noticed I would start to do things and then change my mind so that I was walking around opening my fridge to see if I want to eat something and staring at the food like I'm trying to hear some guidance.

So I was talking to my mother on the phone, and it reminded me of how I felt while I was having psychosis. I remember that I would say a few words and then stop like I'm listening but I'm actually confused and worried that I won't say it correctly. It's like every little choice of words or actions seems so important that I can't make a choice so I freeze up.

I took used some CBD oil and it seemed to go away. Thanks for any responses.

I don’t know a name for it. Sorry. I call it clouded thinking. When I stopped eating refined sugar, I was pleasantly surprised when it dissipated. I do take meds for depression as well. But that residual clouded ness was gone after about a month or so. Best of luck.
Thanks for this!

Thanks, sugarbeeMe It sure is frustrating when it is happening. Usually for me it doesn't last more than a day, but it comes back every week or so.
