hello everyone

i feel stupid when having a new job, or like i can't do a certain task right.
co workers think im stupid or something, even though the jobs i pick are below my skill level.
For instance, i've worked at a fast food place and couldn't make a sandwich or slice it or whatever, and whenever a co worker or customer asks for something it feels like i can't hear them or understand what they're saying.
I don't know if it is a lack of self confidence or an anxiety flare up whenever having a new job.
Don't know if it has ever happened to you or you could understand what im talking about.
Also i used to play soccer with some friends and sometimes i'd be play like a pro and other times my performance would be like someone who has never touched a ball.

Best regards.

Everyone has good days and bad days! If you can learn even one thing about yourself or what you're doing on a day that you struggle, then apply it to the next time you're in the same situation. You will always be doing better than before!

I work in fast food as well. When I started I was terrible. I messed up taking a lot of orders and I didn't really know what to do with my time so I hid in the lobby as often as I could get away with, wiping down tables and cleaning trays. It wasn't until I stuck with it and started asking questions about how to do it or why we do things a certain way that I was able to apply what they were showing me and get better.

Point of the story is! It's okay to be new at things, it's okay to suck at things, but you can get better! Don't be afraid!

Go easy on yourself. It's a universal feeling when you first start a job, you are the newbie and the pressure is on to be great straight away. Just know, that after a while the anxiety will subside. I usually can't wait for the next new person to start and then I'm not the newbie anymore!
