I’m guessing I’m just getting a cold. But I don’t know.

Since last Saturday I’ve been tired, achy, I’ve lost 7 pounds in that time period. I’m not hungry and when I do eat I get full after a few bites. I’ve had a headache, a pain in my upper left side, and I’ve had night sweats.

I see my doctor on Saturday. So I’ll talk to her.

I’ve been really crabby too. At everyone. I’ve snapped at everyone. I yelled at my brother about some chocolate that was mine. It startled and upset my mom.

Basically, I don’t feel like myself. And I’m not acting like myself either.

I’ve always been scared of getting cancer. Especially lukemia. I would just say it’s stress and anxiety, but seriously, 7 pounds in a week? I haven’t lost that much in a week since I got braces on and was in extreme pain. And even then that was only 5 pounds in a week.

Of that 7, I’ve lost 2 since yesterday.

Does anyone have any insights?

Yikes! I don't know what it could be, but I hope that it's nothing serious.

Do you have any small, red dots under your skin?

I def have a cold now.

Also, I woke up Thursday night with bad pain in my left leg. I could barely walk. I’m not sure what that was all about.

The last 3 times I got sick I was very moody crabby and anxious the few days before I got sick. I was sick once in November and twice in December. In the past I’ve gone years without getting even a small cold.

I guess they are right, and it’s just a very bad season.

I struggled through work yesterday, but made it. I’m not sure if I should have gone in at all.

Doctor confirmed it was a cold. I am relieved that’s all it was.

Thursday night, I had a bad cramppy pain in my leg. I could barely walk. It went away Friday. My doctor said I was ok because they went away, but if I did start getting cramps again, it could be blood clots because that is a side effect of the prescription she prescribed. I think the cramps might because I’m wearing the same shoes that are slightly big, and I stand on a concrete floor for hours at work. I also sit oddly on my recliner for hours at a time.

I am very glad she took my concerns seriously and did all the right tests and exams to make sure It wasn’t something else.

As for the behavior/personality issues. This is the 4th time this flu season I’ve gotten sick. 3 times with a cold, once with a gross mucus post nasal drip sinus thing. The other 3 times, I was also very anxious annoyed and angry the few days before I got sick.

This time I had an attitude with my therapist and was just in general angry.

My mom said that I should think about this. That when I get like this it means I’m probably just getting physically sick. Maybe this time I was so scared of getting sick I was just denying that that’s what was causing my behavior issues.

Before, everything was somatic and anxiety, or an unscheduled period.

Now it seems like I really am getting sick every couple months. I’m assuming since I am not a teenager anymore, my immune system gets compromised more easily, and I am more sensitive to how stress affects my immune system.

I’m still wondering though, if I’m stressed because I’m getting sick, or if my stress is causing me to get sick.

Again, I’m just glad it wasn’t the flu.

I’m still not really hungry.

I went from 8 last night to 1 this afternoon without eating. I was stuffed after a Medium size TV dinner. I had to drink some some stuff to make up the calories I was missing out on.

I had a bowl of soup for dinner.

I have a difficult time forcing myself to eat.

I’ll wait it out and see how it goes.

If I get below 150 I’ll go back to my doctor for blood work. Which she didn’t do.

I lost another 1.5 pounds.

I’m pretty sure mine is anxiety. If I mention this to my psych doctor is answer will be to put me on something to make me gain weight. He is that kind of over prescribing idiot.

I am a very nervous person. I fidget a lot. I read tonight that people who fidget can burn up to 800 calories.

So if I’m not eating a lot because of the anxiety AND fidgeting a lot, so there is my answer.

As for the fidgeting,it’s never really bothered. Me I have to constantly be moving and pacing. And I can only sit down for a few minutes at a time. I am not sure if it’s all anxiety. It’s uncomfortable and painful if I’m not switching positions every couple of minutes. I am also constantly touching my hair.

I’ve never discussed it with either of my doctors.
