  • Friend has general anxiety since youth
  • Had a slightly traumatic childhood where she was left alone as a child for hours every day after school to tend to herself as she was the child of a single mother who worked until late and her mother had depression
  • Recently gets diagnosed with depression
  • Friend has two nervous break downs at work for the first time ever, calls friend to pick her up
  • Friend then breaks up with her fiance saying he deserves better, that she's a burden, she feels nothing for anyone but anger, doesn't feel strongly about anything in her life doesn't think she ever will...
  • Tells everyone she wants to be alone and single
  • Hides depression from family but not from close friends
  • Skips meds, tries to fix herself
  • Weeks after breaking up with her fiancé she dates someone new who is a pure adrenaline junkie who owns a surf company
  • She starts learning how to surf and continues to surf on a weekly basis
  • More weeks pass and when asked how she feels about the man she is dating, she says she doesn't really feel anything towards him

Not sure I understand your concern? I wouldn’t diagnose people online.

No, we’re not here to diagnose others... many of us are crazy as hell and desperately trying to keep our own symptoms in check.

If you’re concerned about your friend you might want to suggest that she see a psychiatrist.
