I "hear voices" and they have taken a toll. They now come in other forms that are way harder to ignore then just hearing them like images in my mind and what would be called hallucinations. They're slowly turning me into an angry person some time after I've done some mental healing. They're extremely inflammatory. I reply to these "voices" with violent images and phrases. Do I have anger issues? Am I a sociopath? I have been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and my doctors let me read my file and it said PTSD traits. My diagnosis was changed to schizotypal recently.

I'm sorry you are struggling with all of this. We here on PC can't diagnose you. Mental health diagnosis is a job for a mental health professional. You mentioned your doctors. I don't know if any of them are providing you with therapy services. But if you're not receiving mental health therapy services, in some way or other, that might be another component you might want to consider adding to your treatment plan. Therapy would be the place to talk about your very real concerns. I wish you well...
Thanks for this!

Hi YoungMarston,

Do I have anger issues?
I think if your anger is really bothering you, is really troubling you, then, to me, it's safe to call it an 'issue', yes. But, I mean it must obviously be tied in with your current diagnosis of schizotypal, and PTSD, and the hearing voices, etc.

Am I a sociopath?
Well, to my mind, just because a person has some anger issues doesn't necessarily make them a sociopath. But hey, I'm really no expert on the whole subject. Do you have a counselor? If so, it would be a good place to explore such a question. Absolutely.
