Because of random info I've received in the past, I believe I may have half siblings somewhere in the states. I've tried all the search sites but they end up costing a lot of money. It would mean everything to me if I could find any other family members living here. Does anyone know how to go about this without spending lots of money?

ancestry.com costs a monthly fee. 19.99 per month or 99.99 for 6 months.

doing family searches are no longer free and no way around them.

most people who I know dont have a lot of money for things like 23andme dna, ancestry and so on. they just post a pic with a sign and a post that says they are looknig for family, who their family members are that they are looking for and then the picture and post goes viral with shares.

another option contact your local news. let them know how and why you suspect you may have family members out there. maybe they will do a report on you and your family may see you and the situation on the nightly news.

you can also get public information from your clerks office/ department of health. just ask for a copy of your birth certificate your birth certificate will say whether you have siblings or not.

you can also use your birth certificate to do an internet search on your parents names on your birth certificate. its amazing what you can find on the internet just by typing in someones name.
Thanks for this!

Familysearch.org is free but create the free account there no credit card required. If you can pinpoint the states they live in then you can do a free search at the county govt sites containing tax records and even court records. Names are often misspelled so be sure to try different spellings. Do you have names? You could try just googling them.
Thanks for this!

Thank you. I'll try that.
