Hey!
So the thing is I have a very obsessive personality. I get obsessed over one thing like crazy. It ranges from a topic, a celebrity or even a guy I like. But whatever it is I cannot seem to stop thinking about it. If it is a topic i will research like crazy, read up on it, watch videos and suddenly it dies down. This lasts at most a month or maybe more. But it surely does die down. Usually I do become obsessed with the same topic again too. If it is a guy I like, I will not stop talking about him, spend every little amount of time I have with him and basically act like a crazy stalker. But the guy usually becomes interested as well and then after a while it just goes away. I find that very same guy disgusting. Sometimes I gt obsessed over a game. Its like to end one obsession I will adapt another adn this chain just continues. This has effected my social life, my career choices and a lot more things. I try to control it but the obsession is too much for me to push down. |

I too get passionately attached to things, and ideas. It hasn't progressed to people but I certainly obsess over a great deal in my life. I am learning that some of this arises from perfectionism It has been an interesting road to realising, assessing, and responding to that which so often drives me. It is a work in progress.
