I have been having lapses of memory for a little while now that are freaking me out. Like this morning I had to stop and think for a moment whether I had had coffee yet. I didn't sleep great last night so it could be related to that but this has been happening to me a lot more over the last couple years. I sometimes think it's because I am spacing out on mundane tasks I do everyday and just not recording them. I also had a head injury a couple years ago that has me worried.
Mostly It's the fear that they couldn't even do anything if they found out there was a problem.

i think that happens to me sometimes too although i am not sure if that is quite the same thing. i think things like this can happen but as long as we are forgetting small things perhaps there isn't much to worry about. Still, if this makes you feel rather concerned perhaps talking about this to your own doctor may Help. i Hope and Pray that things will go well for Everyone. Please do not give up. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @annoyedgrunt84, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

from your post you state a couple years ago you had a head injury and this situation according to your post has been happening for a couple years.

to me if this was me it would say call the doctor that treated the head injury and let them know whats going on.

they can do tests and look at your head injury files and help you to understand whats going on inside you since the injury.

Yes, call the doctor, check you head injury doesn't have long term effects and otherwise, if it bothers you a lot, hten go see a therapist. I have these things too, btw, on and off, not very frequently,, without a head injury. It's ok to me, as these are not terribly intrusive when they happen (plus, I'm already in therapy, though for other things), but if they are to you, no shame in getting help

Are you taking certain medications, too? Some of them can affect memory--as well as increasing age.

Are you asking me? No, I am not taking anything and I'm barely above 30 There is schizophrenia in my family though (once removed) and my mother saw an angle once. So it's not like there isn't precedence or potential genetic disposition.
