Dumb question.

What do you do with your shower liner? Not talking about fabric one. Plastic liner under the fabric.

I buy a cheap one at Homegoods and replace it few times a year. I keep hearing that people clean/wash it in a washing machine and don’t replace.

I think I used to but it feels like waste of time and not really a saving because simple liner is around $6-7. What’s the consensus?

One of our bathrooms has a glass shower door, which is a lot of work to keep nice. I don’t want to add more work by now washing shower liners. But I also don’t want to be wasteful.

I do the same thing. I can’t imagine washing plastic in my machine. I just replace but just once a year. I spray it down with vinegar and I’ve never had a problem with lime, slim or mold.

I just replace when it starts to look gross. Here they cost around 2,000 pesos, or about US$2.10, so it makes more sense to just replace it.

I just started buying cloth liners. The issue became too fraught for me.

No there are no rules. People do different things. Some wash them and some replace and some I guess do nothing. I wanted it to know what people do

They are polyester and very thin, but attractive. I sometimes drape the bottom over the shower stool to dry, or else yes the hem will stick to the side of the tub. Also its better if i run a fan. But plastic really isnt necessary.

I have a walk in shower & use the clear plastic. Lol....my actual shower curtain is just for looks. I have a new liner waiting to be used as soon as my AUSSIE puppy grows up a bit & quits thinking the liner is a hanging play toy to attack. Buying new is one of my least expensive treats for me

Yeah that’s how mine is. Actual curtain is for looks.

I just bought pink plastic liner to replace the one I have. What possessed me to order pink hahah

Lol....I always went for clear so I could see through it. Now I need it clear to see what my puppy is getting into when I shower

Haha eskie, the pup likes to hang out in the shower? Helmut does too. He likes to fall asleep in the steam. It knocks him out in a few minutes. I just bought a new bathmat that's fuzzier than the one I used to have, and he curls up on it like it's a bed.

Oh, pup loves the shower EXCEPT if it would mean a bath. He hates tge outside hose. I took up all bath mats because he tried to shred them. So now I just put down a towel & he tries to grab it & run away with it while I am in the shower thus the need for the clear shower curtain liner so I can yell at him when he tries. He is just a year old, 60lbs & worse than a toddler but makes everything into a game
