It continues to be really stormy here. Torrential rain with bursts of thunder and lightning. Power is out at home, luckily it's not out at work!

I'm kind of jealous!! Not about the power outages, but about the thunder storms!! I LOVE them!!!

I'm in San Diego County and the storm is headed our way, I guess. We've had gray skies with some sprinkles, but it has been quite blustery today, which I love as well. Wind is 20-35 miles/hr with gusts up into the 40's.

Weather folks are saying maybe some T-Storms later today once the storm gets to us and we are on flash-flood watch. Hopefully, if there are T-Storms, the lightning doesn't spark a fire. This last year was the first year SD County didn't go up in flames and we need not start more fire wars!!

Have a good day folks!!

The summer is coming to a end, it is getting colder in the evenings, it is the start of autumn!

One more summer gone, it was not the greatest.

About as good as possible in this world here below. Seventy-five and not too humid, not too dry. Blue skies, fleecy white clouds, no rain, a fresh five mile an hour breeze. If things were only like this all the time! Take care.

We're due for a sleet/snow mix all day, too; I can hear it tinkling against the windows as I type. I hate driving in freezing conditions. Snow I can handle; ice makes me very nervous!

Tuesday March 22,

Warm Temp 68 and tonight only get down to 62. I am thinking about opening my window to have the spring air in but haven't decided yet. Tyger tends to scratch on the screen when he wants to go out and he has already destroyed 2 screens doing that. Possible T-storms tonight.

I suppose it's all a matter of perception.

Okay--it's winter and snowing again in NY............

There is no movement in the trees, but a barely perceptible HIssssssssssssssss in the air.

Lots of movement on the streets----everyone's trying to get out of everyone else's way...................kinda dreary. Where's the Forsythia???????
and the ***** willows?

We are having heavy thunderstorms & are on tornado watch right now.

I think I like our cold lightly snowy winters much better.

The warmer weather is nice, but the ants have taken over my house....just in one day. Didn't get a chance to spray insect spray around the house because of all the rain right after it was too cold to do anything. Some day I will figure this all out.

Fargo has winter, spring flooding and road construction and repair for seasons. The latest:
The National Weather Service updated their Flood Outlook this morning, and they are forecasting an increased chance of flooding in the valley.

The new NWS prediction shows a 50% chance the Red River at Fargo will exceed 40.5ft, and a 20% chance it could exceed 43.3 ft. Major flood stage in Fargo is 32ft, with a record crest in 2009 at 40.84 ft.

According to the Weather Service, this past week has seen a significant amount of additional rain, sleet and snow which has mainly impacted the Devils Lake Basin, along with central and southern portions of the Red River basin. A return to much colder temperatures and the accumulation of fresh snow have stalled much of the snowmelt and spring runoff process.
