So I'm having a day off which I have really been looking forward too. My plan was to... do absolutely nothing!

Mmm... well it hasn't quite worked out like that so far.

Tried to have a lie in but the phone wouldn't stop ringing. Hubby had diverted all his business calls to me. I also had the dog leaping on top of me licking my face. She must have thought I needed a wash but more likely she wanted to go outside.

So ok, I had to get up and let the dog out. The dog disappeared and then came back covered in cow poo. It's her latest cow-de-poop perfume. Had to try and catch the dog to try and wash her. Ran round the house about three times.

Played a little on PC and some guy needs to repair the rayburn so I had to tidy up all the rubbish on the floor. It's amazing children can't seem to make it to the bin and hubby knew it would give me something to do?

Had to get to the post office before 12.30pm, well, I got there with 2 minutes to spare. I would have got there earlier but I had to wash the dog again... The darn post office put the 'closed' sign up just as I was walking up the steps to there door! Grrr! Had to go back later...

Thought I might watch Jessica Fletcher on TV, I always find that relaxing but no, phone calls from various people wanting to know if I had a debt or wanted a credit card and did I need double glazing? No!

Ok, it's 5pm here and I now have a chap repairing the rayburn, it's going to cost a lot of money apparently, I have to go and do the pack lunches and the dinner, just wondering when I might actually get time to relax?

ps. The dog has disappeared again...

oh no! What a pain. That dog sounds like he needs gum boots and a rain coat.
Thanks for this!

Did dog come home? Hopefully without perfume on!

Oh yes! She wasn't gone for long, came back a lovely brown colour!

I packed her off with hubby yesterday where there isn't any cow poop to be seen for miles.

Queen Pegger,

Thank-you for sharing your day with us! Do you have caller id? Do you have any photos of your dog (or other pets) that you could share with us?

I do hope that you find some time to relax.
