I so love and admire this show. I recently got all the episodes on DVD from a friend who had them, all nine seasons, and have been happily watching.

Does anyone else a fan of it?

I so admire Caroline, I just love her, i would love and hope to be like her- kind and sweet, caring, but also strong and passionate.

It's been many years since I watched that show Rainbow.
It was a very good show , I watched it all the time growing up. It's nice that you can get these old shows on DVD bundles. They're usually good quality too.
I like the older T.V. shows. Not up to date on the new stuff.
Thanks for sharing .

I grew up watching Little House; I know I've seen each episode at least four times. I also read the books that the show was based on. I checked those books out from the library so often that my mom finally bought the whole set for me, one Christmas. That show will never get old.

this good sober?"

I watched that show all the time when I was growing up. I loved it. And I loved the books too. I had the complete set and I read them so many times, that they started falling apart. I still have them.

My dh got the series for me when I was pregnant and sick - I love that show! It's a guilty pleasure, as most of my friends and family think I'm nuts for liking it.

I always find it interesting to learn about the actors and actresses who play the parts in the programs. Alison Arngrim, the young actress who played Nellie Olsen on Little House was actually a standup comedian who was terribly sexually abused by a family member when she was six. Michael Landon became a "serogate" father to her and helped her deal with those issues. She is now speaking out about her experience.

I also grew up with Little House on the Prairie books & TV show.....that was back in the days when they were allowed to put TV shows on that had good moral values....rather than the junk they create now for TV claiming to be the NEW moral values....don't know but for me....I would rather live with the moral values out of Little House on the Prairie than any of the moral values of today.

Interesting to look how TV has evolved (or IMO degraded) in the same way moral values have in society in general.....

So much for my........just that one never sees that quality on TV anymore. Michael Landon was a very special director/actor in that TV series.....a very special person who wasn't afraid to put out the moral values to the public. It was definitely my favorite TV series....would love to get the DVD's of it.....since I don't have a TV, the only way I can see anything is using a DVD on my computer.

Glad you are enjoying that series.....it is good for Jer to watch them too....it's always nice when TV shows support good values rather than work against what we are trying to teach our children

From the opinionated older generation here...lol.
