This guy is 50 miles from me. I asked him how much he would charge, and he said $160.00 to $200.00. Considering the area where I am at, that is cheap. I have heard some places chage $300.00 to $500.00.
Tishie, 6 kids would be alot of pain. Having them was hard enough. lol

I have a friend who has 5 kids. After her first was born, a tattoo artist friend offered to do one for her...she opted to get a small rose bud with the child's name and birth sate in script. As each child was born, the artist lengthened the original stem and added shoots with another bud, and of course, each name and birth date. It has turned out to be about the size of what a portrait on the back would be, and is quite beautiful.

I have a couple small ones on my arms. Nothing fancy . You have to remember its permanent , unless you can afford laser surgery and I'm not too sure about how that works. It's your body , do what you like with it.

They're a lot more expensive here in SF! If he can do that quality of work, that's a good deal!

I have one tattoo on my upper right arm. I've always felt that if I got another, I'd end up losing control.

I've always wanted a "Jesus Heart" (Sacred Heart) that had thorns wrapped around it and dripping blood and a lot of fire coming out of it!

Might just do it! Good luck on your ink! Mike

I want to design some sort of flower with a vine, and have it wrap around and up my ankle. My T got something similar, and it's so cute I like to think that the body is a canvas, and that tattoos are a permanent form of self-expression.

I wish you luck with your tattoos and that is a great price!

I have one tattoo (I seriously never thought I would get one) I got it the day before my 19th birthday, it's a feather right below my neck, it was relativly painless and I'm glad I got it, I would lvoe another one, lol but at the same time, I don't think there is anything else I want to be permently placed on my body. birds and feathers have a lot of deep personal meaning to me.

Let us know what you decide Jerry!

Peace

I have 2 tattoos and I love them. I have a music degree and music is a very important part of my life so they are both music related. One is a treble clef with a pink rose vine weaving through it. (my favorite flower) The other is a small piano keyboard coming off a treble clef. I see where they are addictive. I'm planning another one. My tattoo artist is a MFA and an amazing artist. Each tattoo is original and she guarantees that no one else will ever have your tattoo.

But...they are permanent so put thought into it and make sure it's the one you really want.

Oh....another interesting she said. She told me when people come in who don't know exactly where they want their tattoo, they always inadvertantly touch the place where they want it as they are saying that. food for thought.....

I am a very liberal person generally speaking however, tatoos are something that have never appealed to me. I have nothing against anyone else getting them. Some are beautiful.

My husband has one. It is on his butt. His former wife had him put it there. His name begins with a C. So, it is a large C with her first initial inside the C.

He is a very, very lucky man. Her name was Virginia.

Vickie you are so funny. I still don't have any tattoos yet. I just wanted my kids portaits on my back. My bf has some tattoos. He just had 3 of them colored in. He has also had a few removed. He told me that hurts worse then getting the tattoo.
From looking at your pictures of your husband, he doesn't seem like the type to get a tattoo at all let alone his butt. I could never go into a place and just drop my pants. lol
I would also say that he is lucky that it's a "V" or he probably would have had some laser remove it for him.

I have 4 and one goes from the back of my neck to between the lower part of my shoulder blades. It says "love conquers all" in chinese with a big lotus flower underneath. I want to get my kids' names below that (when I have kids at least). Personally I thought the one on my side just below my ribs hurt the worst. The one on my back didn't hurt hardly at all. It took about an hour and a half and is about 1 foot long and 6 inches wide. And my guy let me take a break about half way through also. I say do it.

I have 2 tats and didn't get my first one until I was 43 LOL

I have a problem with putting names on me except for my children/grandchildren. I would never put anyone's elses names or initials on me

I would like to get more.....probably will wait until the next time I go to the UK as they are much cheaper over there

My two daughters have a number of tattoos. One daughter is into the dragons, snakes etc. while the other daughter likes the lighter side of things like faeries, sun/moons, etc.

Do yourself a favor though when looking for someone to put pictures on you, make sure they show you what they've done previously on others. You don't want a novice inking you with your kids pictures!

Hi,
I have three tattoos. One on my neck, which is the african symbol AYO(fern); a butterfly on my lower back and a puzzle piece on my wrist- my twin sister also has a puzzle piece which is the connecting piece to mine.

Must be a phase....It'll pass.

I've got 9 piercings, don't regret getting them at all Especially my nose...after a while, it just becomes a part of you.

A funny story about putting names on you....I was at a tattoo parlor looking through this guy's portfolio. A lot of them were cover-ups with the before and after pictures in there. Every single one was a person covering up an ex's name haha.

And one of mine is chinese so the guy doing the tattoo goes "now just to be clear....if you go over to china and someone laughs at you because your back says i'm an idiot.....i'm not responsible for that" lol. CHECK FIRST!!! (luckily I checked with several people from china who confirmed what it said first)
Thanks for this!
