I saw this on CNN this morning, while I was watching news about Haiti...

If you can, please donate. If you can't, please send thoughts, prayers, good thoughts, and well wishes to those who have been impacted by the disaster.

To donate $10.00 to the Red Cross International Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund, please send a text to 90999. You will get a text back asking for the code word and text back Haiti. This automatically adds $10.00 to your wireless phone bill and donates it to the Red Cross for the relief efforts.

I donated and it did connect me to the Red Cross people and seemed to work fine. Like I said, they posted it on CNN so I think it should be legit. After you text YES to donate, you can text STOP to prevent from getting mailings from the Red Cross if you do not want to get them.

Just thought I'd put this up in case anyone was interested. Pass it on.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
