Only God knows when the World will end - but with all thats happened in the last week...it makes you wonder.
I believe that God is warning us - and what happens on 12/21/12 will depend on how we react to his warnings - this being my thoughts only.
One part of the world will experience Dec 21 2012 before the rest of the earth... I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
I try to do what is right and help where I can, and never leave any pain in my path.

No - I personally do not think the world will end in 2012 simply because a single person or religious group says so. One must remember that a persons time of birth and time of death (while already stamped) is not known to any human.

Isadora,

Have you seen the movie 2012? My husband and I saw it, what a moving movie, scared the hell out of me. I cried watching it - imagining.

I hope that it's not the end. I have 3 boys I want to see grow up.

Creepy but true story, my husband's mother passed away on a date that the Nostradamus (?) predicted the world would end. she told the story many times about watching this particular show and HER world ended on the day of the date he said.
makes you wonder.

I understand a lot of people are spooked by this date thing, but to put everyone at ease lets apply some logic and common sense.

Does anyone here know what I am going to have for lunch next Tuesday? What I am going to wear? What videogame I am going to buy next? Of course not! Why, because I have not decided these things myself, since I am not aware of these events, how can anyone else be?

Now lets compound the equation a bit. I am one of aprx 6 Billion people who inhabit this planet. History when you break it down consists of decisions of everyone and the actions and reactions in regards to those decisions right?

No one predicted the Earthquake in Hatti, had there not been one, the international community and the Hatian people would be making very different decisions right now, correct?

The best weather forcasters can only accurately guess our weather locally for about 5-7 days. That is derrived from crunching numbers through massive supercomputers.

Now think of the math required to calcualate every possible outcome of every event that could ever occur, impossible basically, Correct.

Therefore it stands to reason that since it is impossible to predict what decisions will be made and by whom, the occurance of random events that effect those decisions, and the reactions by others to said decisions, then it is impossible to predict the future, let alone when specifically the world will end. One can only make some projections based extrapolations of current trends. Projections however are only guess work.

Bottom line there is absolutely no scientific basis for this 2012 business, worry not, take care of yourself in the here and now and have a good night's sleep.

In my opinion, whatever happens..happens, and there isn't a damn thing any of us can do about it...OTHER than make the best of our lives today as if there IS no tomorrow and be appreciative for what we have now.

We have to keep in mind, too, that the entertainment industry, (American especially), take advantage of making revenues off of the most dramatic ideas...and as soon as the story of the 2012 "D" Day became a centerpoint of attention, the movie industry wasted no time to capitalize on the pubic's paranioa....resulting in spreading the fear only more.

You just have to ask yourself, what truly does hold meaning to YOU, and, again...attend to making your own life meaningful to the best of your abilities...whether that is until 2012 or....until much longer (as I suspect it will be).

(Also....We are bound to find what we seek most? Much like what "can" be found in the "Zeitgeist Theory". Seek, and ye shall find?)

I prefer to seek the good...therefore...All's good....

St. Francis of Assisi is reported to have been out hoeing in a garden of beans when he was asked: “What would you do if you knew the world would end today?” His calm, considered reply was, “I suppose I would finish hoeing this row of beans.”

I don't know, and that's ok with me.

If I knew, I might live in fear of it...

I watched the movie 2012 and was disappointed. If you like 2 1/2 hours of special effects than I guess it's a good movie. It was too unrealistic how the main actors would narrowly escape all the crumbling and falling earth , but I guess if they died the movie would have to end. I'm happy it did . Titanic was long but was well done in my opinion. 2012 concentrated way too much on special effects and in my opinion lacked in the serious department . imdb rated it as 6.1 which I felt is kind of high for a movie that had all the right subject matter for a serious movie. I give it a 5 and that's being generous.

I haven't seen it, and don't intend to until it's accessable either via internet, or once it reaches one of the show channels..unless it already IS available that way and I'm just not aware of it?, (wouldnt surprise me...lol).

The only movies I intently pay to see are ones which make me laugh, or leave me with a good feeling...(daughter always acompanies me, anyhow....she's my movie bud...lol).

Come back in 2013 and remember how the world did not end in 2012, the same way it did not end when all those others in the past said it would.

I don't believe it. I read a book once titled "88 reasons why the Lord will come back in 1988......what happened? Then I read another that the world would end in 2000...I'm still here, now it's 2012....I'll check back then if I'm here.

Personally...............it is not going to happen.

I never believe those predictions. Honestly - are they God and how do they know this?? I feel bad for vulnerable people who might panic and live in fear until 2012 - it's wrong!!!

No. Many groups of people have been predicting the end of the world, and none of what they predicted has come to pass.

There will ALWAYS be those who seek personal gain in the fear of others.
Don't fall for it.
Be true to your OWN person and all will be good.

If you knew you had only 24 hrs. of life left, how would you spend these final hours?
Would we wish we cherished our lives more?
Seeing time & our lives as precious.

All we have is this moment.

What will you choose? Total change in lifestyle? You could.
May you Live all the days of your Life!
