So within the past month i have lost an ample amout of friends. It started with my boyfriend, we had been together for almost 7 months and he dumped me to get back with his ex-fiance(yes, fiance) who is now one of my good friends. By virtue of my now ex- best friend i told him not to talk to me even though he is a great friend. She is now no longer my best friend because she met some chick who doesnt like me so i went from her living with me to being replaced and she goes to school with me and thats the only time i see her(after 7 years of being inseperable). My best guy friend, i found was in love with me. It was really akward and i felt bad but i told him i didnt feel the same way and now he wont talk to me. For breaking his heart, his friends now wont talk to me either. So my question is do i need to pick better friends or am i the problem? These guys have been my friends since 7th grade and now all of the sudden there all against me..wtf man?! What do i do?

Allison, I'm so sorry to hear about your situation! I completely empathize with feeling like you don't have friends to help. It sounds like you have a really tough situation because of all the conflicts of interest with your best friend/good friend. However, on the positive side, I bet your best guy friend will eventually realize that it is better to have you as a friend than not at all. It can be hard to get over rejection, but I think he'll come around!

In the meantime, maybe you can try meeting new people in your area? You could try joining a sports team, or a book club, or signing up for a social group on Meetup.com. It can be hard to find ways to make friends but maybe that will give you some ideas.

Hope that helps!
