What is something You would NEVER change about yourself?

Everyone always talks about the things they hate about themselves, what is something you love about yourself, that you would never change?

I love my curly hair, little short toes, and i'm generous.

I appreciate the compassion I have towards others, and my strong ethics, although having strong ethics can be difficult sometimes when I find things are not being held up to high standards. It's a strength as much as it is a weakness.

I also appreciate my gift of my voice; I'm a singer.

You sound very sweet and giving. A beautiful voice is a rare gift. I wish I could sing, I mean, I can, but it wouldnt sound very good.

My sense of humor. Some days it's all I've got.

I love my sense of humor too. It's definatley one of a kind. People tell me i'm so funny and I always make them laugh. Sometimes I think it's a front, and I use it to hide what i'm really feeling.

My artistic side. I like to use photography, wood, music (I too am a vocalist), cooking, writing, just about anything I can do to process the intensity of emotions my unique mental make up fills me with. I also am grateful for my curiosity of the nature of the human mind. I am funny when I let myself be me, but I find I am almost always trying to be taken seriously so I can't be ridiculed, so rarely cut loose. I think this is a good question to ask of people by the way. Too many times we dwell on out "short comings" and not enough on what is good about us.

My loyalty and my sense of humour.

My eyes and my cussedness. Probably also my empathy, though that is a two edged sword that together with the cussedness has gotten me into more grief than I can say.

I would never want my caring, loving and accepting heart to change.

In this frantic-paced world, I love that I value quiet and calm.
I love my curiosity and willingness to learn new things every day.

my compassion for all beings, and my feirce loyalty. My recently made decision to not allow my mother to behave poorly to me or around my child.

I agree this is a nice thread Jambi. I would never change my loyalty, caring for others, eyes, smile, weight and my 2 beautiful girls.

I don't know if I have anything I wouldn't want to change about myself. I guess if I had to pick something it would be my willingness to comfort people and not sleep till they feel better.

Don't confuse being able to sing on key with being able to sing. Your voice is your voice and there is no one voice that has the same depth, resonance, or sound. Be proud of your voice and let yourself open up and allow the music to just come. So what if it's off key. If you allow yourself to really let your voice speak for your soul through music, it will be beautiful no matter what notes you hit.

I wouldn't change the fact that I can give the best mom's love in the world to my two little boys.

I wouldnt change my laugh. I laugh loud, and my mouth goes wide open!!

I would never want to lose my compassion and sensitivity towards animals. I also know that I'm a very emotional person (I've often been compared to the character 'Lucy' from 7th Heaven). sometimes it seems like a curse to always being so emotional but I can't imagine being 'me' without my wacky emotions ranging from crying at a sweet scene in a movie to being upset if a loved one hasn't called me back or being really giddy everytime I think of Robert Pattison (Edward from Twilight )

I wouldn't change that I am fiercely loyal to my husband. And like Elysium, I can sing too.

My sense of humour, sometimes it's all that keeps me going. The fact that I can play the harp. The fact that I'm willing to keep trying and starting over every time I fail, instead of giving up, my intellect, and my sense of compassion.

i would never change my extreme drive to learn everything and anything. i love reading, watching natgeo and discovery, and surfing the web in order to broaden my range of knowledge. i am truly devoted to the pursuit of knowledge and a life driven by curiosity.
