Anyone who has followed any of my threads knows I have days of utter defeat and if not for my friends here I would not work my way through them to days like today when my heart is full of gratitude. I thought it would be nice to share some of those things I am grateful for and invite others to share those things that they are grateful for so that together we can enjoy the positive energy that comes from dwell on the blessings in our lives.

I have already said that I am grateful for my PC friends but I will name a few who have been especially there for me the last couple of months. Byz and Lynn have faithfully checked in on me and Belle and Marjn have challenged me with their successes to keep on keepin on. Others too have chimed in to offer encouragement and kindnesses that have really made a difference to me and I thank you all.

I am also grateful for the changing of seasons that has allowed me to see how nature renews itself as though beginnings were an everyday occurance. Everyday there is more fresh green in the garden and flowers are bursting out all over. It has been a joy to clear off the blankets of leaves to allow them to shine even more.

I am grateful for my son who may test my patience sometimes but who always reminds me I am loved and charished even at my most unloveable moments. While his friends are out partying and doing things they shouldn't at 16 he says no to it all because he knows I don't approve. He considers my feelings and for that I am very grateful.

I am grateful for my ex who without me even asking sends extra money because he knows I have been without work. I am grateful for his friendship and support especially while so many others in my life have tired of me and my issues.

I am grateful that I can walk and move freely and without pain. My mother was a parapalegic and never will I take mobility for granted.

I am grateful for my neighbours who share my love of gardening and enjoy a chat in the yard now and then.

I am grateful for days like today when hope is alive and my mind is all a buzz with the possibilities of life.

Be well my friends. Enjoy the good days and take sollice that the bad days do pass. No matter where you are at on your journey to recovery and survival you are not alone here.
Thanks for this!

I'm grateful for this reminder.

I'm grateful for my apartment, no matter what irritations with neighbors and noise and all happen, this is my place - I have a door that locks and closes, I'm safe, there is a wonderful cherry tree blooming out front. I have so much more than many people around the world.

I'm grateful for my walk outside this morning.

I'm grateful for the big comfortable bed I'm about to get into as I ride out the rest of this migraine. I have a book to read when I'm able. I have antacids that are working for the tummy upset.

I'm feeling generally yucky and irritable and I'm grateful that I'm not feeling worse. I'm grateful that I'm able to take time to heal.

I'm grateful for the new red hoody I'm wearing right now.

I'm grateful for hope.

Thanks Cedar for sharing your gratitudes. I am grateful you are here. Wishing you a wonderful day.

I am grateful today for the excitment in the night of helping one of my cats bring 2 new lives into the world. There may yet be more. Momma and babies are doing well.

I am grateful that while I am sleep deprived I feel good today. I am grateful that my son without being asked did house chores this morning. Wonder what he wants. lol.
Thanks for this!

This post really brightened my day...so thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I'm grateful for my amazing boyfriend...who does so much for me and has given me the best 4 years of my life thus far

I'm grateful for my cat, Bailey, who has shown me love regardless of what I've done and has taught me to always be playful

I'm grateful for my parents...who have taught me everything right I can do with my life, as well as everything wrong

I'm grateful for my doctor. He has shown me way more attention than I feel I deserve

I'm grateful for the ugliness in this world, for it has shown me how beautiful the most simple of things can be

I'm grateful to be alive
Thanks for this!

I am grateful for 2bpainfree and her family. If it weren't for them . . .I don't know how I would've gotten through this winter.

I'm grateful for my alters who without them I do not know if I could've survived.

I'm grateful for this thread that reminds us that there is much in life that we love still.

I'm grateful to the people who make PC the supportive community it is today, and for letting this be a safe haven for all.

I'm grateful for my step-dad. I know I complained in the past about him, but he was the answer to my prayers. He is all that I know for a dad. We butt heads but I know he has always been there for me even before mom and him married or even considered the thought. Until he came there was no end in sight of what I was going through.

I am grateful for my brother with aspergers. He is a nutcase but I do love him and he loves me. We've had rough times but we're good friends again.

I am grateful for a roof over my head. There was a time when being homeless seemed like a real possibility. Also all of my daily needs are being met. For that I am grateful for.

Running water is amazing when you've lived in a tent for a while. lol

I am grateful that:

  • The rain cleaned the ground where the snow had been;
  • My Mom has lived another day;
  • I had some restful sleep;
  • I listened to some tunes I enjoyed decades ago;
  • My day has been better than a kick in the butt.
Thanks for this!
