Okay, hopefully this will make someone laugh or at least chuckle. My headlights have been broken in my car for like a week and a half. I had to drive all the way home from Dallas (about a three hour drive) with my brights on because my headlights wouldn't work but my brights would. So I make an appointment at the dealer in my town and take my car in to have it fixed this morning. I decided to have some other maintenance stuff done to it as well since it was already being brought in (oil change, spin balance etc.). So they call me and say that it will be ready to pick up at 5:15 and I hear the guy say over the phone that there was nothing wrong with the headlights. Now I am dreading going in because I know there was something wrong with the headlights because they wouldn't turn on and I had my friend who knows a little about cars look at it. I replaced the bulbs and looked at the fuse and I know they are broken. So I am thinking I will check the headlights before I leave and make sure they are working. So when they finally get my car out (it took forever) I get in the car and sure enough I turn the knob and the headlights don't come on. I say something to the guy and turns them on and they work. I said "Then what am I doing wrong? Let me see." He shows me that the entire time that my headlights have "not been working" but my brights have it was because my light stick was pushed forward! Oh my goodness I felt so silly! LOL!

Hello, Alexandria04. Glad it was nothing major. We all have our stories to tell.

Be well.

Alexandria,

I bet you have been telling that story and chuckling and laughing since you figured it out. You'll remember this story for a long time - thanks for sharing it with us!

Cars make fools of us all. My service engine soon light kept coming on so my husband brought it to the dealership to find out what the problem was. Luckily it was under warranty, they hooked it up to the computer and discovered the problem... gas cap loose WHICH they wrote in huge red writing over the service receipt.
