How did you end up being the one left to babysit? Do you have trouble saying "no"? I wish I could help you. Good luck.

Tips for saying "no" :
1. Practice in your mind the scenario.
2. Just say "No" and nothing else.
3. If they keep pushing, have ready, reasonable excuses.
4. Don't feel guilty.
5. Get call display and don't answer the phone lol.
6. Hide behind the furniture when someone knocks.

Honestly though it's a good thing to learn how to say no. Take it easy with the old noggin - you need it for good grades.

Ah, the "just say NO" problem.

Hmmmm......I learned long ago to always say NO if I wasn't sure of something or how I felt about something. One can always rethink something & come back with a "yes" much easier than coming back with a "no" after saying yes.

My standard answer was always no......people didn't like it much & my daughter hated it......but I had no guilty feelings in the long run when my "no's" were the right answer & I wasn't regreting saying "yes".

Seemed that I always ended up regretting a "yes" answer or at least having to rethink it in the long run.....definitely not a positive reinforcement for saying "yes".

Love the "hide behind the furniture" idea when anyone comes to the door. If they can't talk to you, they can't ask you to say yes.

Of course, you could always try sticking your head in the sand....if you cant see them, they cant see you & doubt that if they can't see you face to face, they won't ask you to say "yes" either.

Good to see you back around here. I pop in once in awhile as life's really busy here (overload mode also). I can relate to the frustration.....think those 3 finals are a real gotcha.....always hated finals time but what a sigh of relief when they were over & I could become human again......good luck.

Can you order in some hot wings? Some places deliver if your lucky to live in a larger town.......or if you are lucky to live in a small town where they will put it "on your tab".

Good to see you again.......

Pizza Hut offers delivery and they have some ripper hotwings on their menu.
Order pizza for the lil gremlins, and a few orders of wings for self.
Put on a good kiddy cartoon vid. Y'all eat til you're filled ...and off to nappy town they go.

Hope it works out for you LK....
