RRU96,

Oh, wow. That is so unusual, but then, Dell are fussy -BEEP-, that is for sure.

XBOX 360, or the original? hah. Yeah, probably obvious. I have an XBOX 360, too. I stopped playing it after my HDD died a few months back, man, did that piss me off! I lost around 12k of G's and a hell of a lot of hours of game saves, including over 100 hours on Oblivion! I'm more of a PC gamer, anyways, so I live.

SNES games are awesome! I use Snes9x and Genesis. MAME, I've heard of that, what is it?

MAME - Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator
Used either SNES9X or ZSNES

XBox360 is what I typically game on. Huge Halo fan. Great way to stay in touch with friends who have moved off.

And yes, the new halo reach beta.... nothing like any other halo game. It is phenomenal

RRU96,

Oh, I see now, in regards to MAME, thanks. Yeah, ZSNES is awesome, I used to use that years ago, but always found myself prefering the Snes9x one. I love and use a Playstation emulator called ePSXe.

Halo, ah, another Halo fan. As if there aren't enough already. lol I have Halo (original) on the PC, and I love it. I did always plan to get Halo 3 for the 360, but I don't really mind now. I'm still waiting for a friend to get me Halo 2 for the PC.

Regards,
Akuma

This has all been very interesting reading. I have an A+ Certification and worked commercially for eight years on pc's in both software and hardware building and configuration. I still say that if you are going to make money, it's in repair. The amount of money a person can WASTE trying to over-tweek a machine won't do the tech or the customer any good. Best to go with the tried and true. Experimenting is great but best do it on your own time.

RAM is usually upgraded in pairs simply because that's what the particular motherboard configuration requires (and the bus).

Storage is wonderful but remember: The bigger the bytes, the harder the data falls when the drive fails. Best to store in multiple sources. Terabytes are terrific if you back up at least once a week. Cuz, losing all that in one failure can break your heart. Storing a terabyte in three or four separate storage sources, less room for total loss. Or use raid formation and stripe or mirror it.

2GB is plenty for games but your processor and bus must support it.

Sorry, this old brain is running out of anything further useful.
