My sister goes into the hospital on May 27 for her bone marrow transplant. The only kicker has been that her daughter is due to deliver their first grandbaby and if they don't get to meet before she goes into the hospital, it will be mid-July before they will get to meet.

But her daughter is officially overdue now, and the doctor agreed to induce on Friday so Oma, Opa, and baby Grayson can meet. (Oma means grandmother in German; Opa is grandfather.) Yay! He's finally coming. We're all eagerly awaiting his arrival and pray the delivery will go smoothly.

If he, indeed, arrives on Friday, he and our son Matthew will share their birthdays. I tried to convince her to have him tomorrow so I could share his birthday, but alas, the doctor set it up for Friday.

I needed good news today. I've been pretty down for a couple of days, and I'm not exactly sure why. I'm really needing to sit with t and hash it through, but I don't see him until Friday afternoon. My parents are coming in tomorrow for the weekend because of the various birthdays and also my middle son's Confirmation service is Sunday afternoon. It will be a busy weekend, so hopefully all of the activity will break up this funk I'm in.

(Oh, if you've been wondering about my quote in my signature, click on the youtube link below it. It's a hoot.)
Thanks for this!

That's really neat, cool about the baby and about your sister's transplant.

Also:
Good news!

Thanks guys. My department brought me a bouquet of flowers this morning and we're having taco salads for lunch. It'll be a nice day. I just wish I wasn't so down today. Maybe I'll perk up when my students get here. They tend to keep me hopping.
Thanks for this!

The transplant team told my sister yesterday than she will not be able to be around her dogs or the new grandbaby until her counts get to what they want, which will be months down the road. She was really upset about that since they had told her differently previously. So, we may end up with extra dogs at our house for a few months.

The induction process has begun, but not much happening yet. They want to give her two rounds of antibiotics before they break her water because she had strep during her pregnancy. I'll keep you updated.

I see my t this afternoon, thank goodness. It has been a long week.

Happy belated birthday to you, Chris! I hope your sister's transplant goes well, and I wish an easy delivery for her daughter. I know things went quickly after I was induced! I hope things work out that she can see her grandchild--maybe from the other side of a room or something like that?

I hope you have a good session and that you feel better afterwards!

No baby yet. Still eagerly awaited a phone call saying Grayson has arrived.

My session with my t was kind of a bust today. My head just wasn't in it. Too much on my mind to really focus. I was holding back and Steve knew it. I hate it when we just aren't clicking, but it happens every now and then unfortunately.

How dare he miss your birthday like that

Congratulations! I missed my grandmother's wedding anniversary by a day and made her unhappy :-) Turns out my birthday is very common in my genealogy for my grandfather's ancestors so it was she who had her wedding on the wrong date! LOL
