Hubby bought my birthday present early ! I am going to be hypnotised into thinking I have had the gastric band fitted ....

Just wondered if anyone else has had this done ? One of my friends have and has so far lost 2 stone in two months.

Its costing £300 .

My Aunt was hypnotized to help her quit smoking after trying to quit for five years. It was very successful. She went back to do the weight loss thing and that wasn’t quite as successful.

Ooh I remember you saying about that and pointing it out. It must be fairly well established to cost that much and hopefully work in that case! Good luck with that!

Good luck to you. I know two people who had the same surgery and works very well for both those people.

I forgot how much a stone is, isn’t it something odd like 14 or 17 lbs?

The Community Guidelines have been changed and now state: Specific numbers should not be used in talking about weight gain/loss, BMI, or body measurements in the Eating Disorders forum.

That seems to limit the sanction to the Eating Disorder forum.
Thanks for this!

I'm afraid you won't be able to share actual figures with us as there is a ruling that no weight numbers, measurements or BMI figures are to be posted.

I wish you luck though and look forward to following your journey.

No, it would not be appropriate to discuss weight and measurments anywhere on the site. Unfortunately, no matter where posted, these things could be very triggering for other members and we certainly don't want members to get into a race to see who could hit a certain number faster than another.

Thank you for asking the question roseleigh, much appreciated!

With Care,

Well I went for my first appt today at noon and she weighed me I am 255 pound .....

She did not hypnotise me today, it was all about what I eat and why I eat, what we could do to avoid food issues and divert my attention to other things.

I have a CD I have to listen to daily apparently it is very relaxing.

I go back Thursday next week.

I feel very positive about this. .

Well I went for my second session today and my first time of actually being hypnotised as the first session is more of a talk about the past and what is going to happen during the treatment.

As I knew this was my last chance I pigged out all week with take aways etc.

I have been listening to a CD all week sometimes twice a day.

I was weighed and amazing as it may seem I still lost 3 pound how the hell I did that I have no idea so I am REALLY looking forward to next week now that I have been hypnotised .
