Hello all,

I'm worried today cos I may or may not be discharged from hospital. If you can spare any good luck - could you throw some in my general direction today???

I always felt anxious before being discharged from the hospital. I think that is probably pretty normal. Just know what your resources are and what to do if you need help. Sending positive thoughts your way...

Positive thoughts are on their way. Possible discharge
Just make sure that you have written out after care directions. I have found that that really helps. That way I don't have to remember everything they are telling me as they are shooing me out the door. And ask lots of questions to make sure it is clear. Good luck with this transition.
Thanks for this!

This is my main resource

Seriously though - even though the above is "serious" - thanks for the positive thoughts and I do have an excellent after-care team too

Sending you positive thoughts.
As Yoda said, it's very normal to be discharged from hospital. I might be getting discharged this week, and I'm already feeling nervous! Just remember that you have your support system to help you stay well after you leave the hospital.

Thanks for all the positive support - it really did help me. Reached a compromise really and they are (hopefully) going to discharge me tomorrow. It's complicated because I have a duty solicitor who's job is to win for their client at tribunals but I just wanted to exercise my right to appeal against my section (6 months!) and not actually go to any tribunal! It was causing me a lot of anxiety that I may have been in a courtroom-like situation trying to convince everyone I was ok.

They just need to sort out supplies of all the meds I need tomorrow really and I need to somehow reassure my mental health team that this time I intend to stay out of hospital!

Thanks again
