I'm just busy with real life! But I do try to check in at least once in a while. I'm loving the thread with all the great photos of beautiful and weird creatures. And my social groups.

Wishing everyone here at PC good thoughts.

And happy birthday to you ECHOES!

I've started doing watercolor painting again and the world is starting to look so much more colorful! And today when I was reading the News blog thing here, there is an article about how people see more color when they aren't depressed! I really am seeing 'more color' as I look around me to see what subject matter to photograph and turn into a painting.

Hope everyone is having a very colorful day today.
Thanks for this!

I know what you mean Beholden. IRL just gets in the way of PC terribly. Only reason I'm been on lately is that every time I try to do the work ourside, it ends up raining & I can't paint in the rain & have to let the wood dry out again......or it's over 90 & I just can't function inside or outside.....so I sit under the ceiling fan & get onto my computer. Sometimes I just need a break because I get too exhausted to function.....so I come in & get onto PC.

I do find that from spring to fall, there is too much going on IRL to be here consistently. Hope all your IRL things are going well & you are enjoying your life. Good to see you poking in here occasionally

Thanks for your cheerful comments guys.

Today is the hottest day of the year so far - from the guys on TV. For me it was a few weeks ago when our A/C was out! But I lived through it. How did we manage when I was growing up without A/C?

I've been camped out either in the kitchen at the island doing a new painting or down here in the basement keeping cool (er), doing the laundry and computer stuff.

Yesterday I finished my small painting of a hydrangea that turned out pretty good - it didn't look quite right while I was doing the thing, but the final picture (study) is nice.

Today I'm painting a real "dog"....not a dog animal, but a picture that isn't going so hot. Not sure if I can save it or not. What I'm doing is smaller sized paintings until I figure out/practice hydrangeas enough to get the guts to do a big painting for my living room.

I'm hoping it will cool enough to go outside after dinner tonight just to be able to take the doggie for a walk. We both really love the walkies!

Laundry is calling again....

Spring to Fall are the busiest for me too eskielover...IRL things are going just fine right now

poke poke
Thanks for this!

Hello Beholden,

Hydrangea is a beautiful flower; a hydrangea fills a vase like happiness fills life
