Yay!!!! This is a dancing chllies moment for sure lol. Guess this is a good lesson to, leave it to the professionals. So do carpet beatles just eat carpet? Will he have to get rid of the carpet?

We don't like carpet in the basement...too much moisture. When we moved into our house, we ripped out the carpet and installed tile.

I dunno if capet beetles eat carpet.. I never heard of carpet beetles.. The Orkin Man told AJ's dad to use the bug bombs in the bedroom... Dunno if there are specific bombs for carpet beetles or not????

ALL I know AJ's dad is happy and I am happy and we all are happy the bugs are not bed bugs..... Will have to do an online search on carpet beetles... Gosh now I be a wondering what carpet beetles eat....

Looks like the new renters did not bring the bugs.. Guess that is why nobody was getting bitten because they were not those nasty bed bugs..

lol Kathy.... I love the Beatles..... Brought back good memories hearing Twist and Shout... Gosh I even had a Beatles wig. All the stuff I had collected in the 60s sure wish I had them now, because a lot of that "stuff" is valuable today..

Thanks RadioFlyer. A friend of mine was crazy about them too. She saw them when they came here in the 60s - most likely crying her eyes out and fainting.

She had the opportunity to meet Paul at a charity event they were both attending a few years ago. Prior to being introduced, she practiced a friendly smile and very nice/cordial greeting. When she was face to face with him, all that flew out the window. Her knees became weak, and all she could do was gaze into his eyes and blurt out "I saw you at the Amphitheater in 1966." He gave her a friendly smile and responded "Ah yes - I remember you."

Good luck getting rid of those carpet beetles. I've never heard of anyone getting bitten by carpet beetles, so I doubt they feast on humans/animals or are aggressive in nature. They're a bit crunchy, so maybe they'll just make your carpet Snap, Crackle and Pop.

I hadn't heard of carpet beetles either, going to have to look them up. So glad they turned out not to be bed bugs. I do know this is a nightmare to deal with. Off to look up carpet beetles now....

The top part goes into identification but down near the bottom discusses how to get rid of them:

Glad that they're not bed bugs as they're a nightmare to deal with. I hope carpet beetles are easily dispatched.
