Arrrgh, reminder of cold, poor guy in the pic. Beautiful pic though. I know more cold is headed our way and is just the beginning; we had snow last night but it didn't stick fortunately and there is more due the end of the week. Time for the sweaters to come out. Too bad can't help the critters to bundle up too.

We have a big barn which has barley stored in it, I do believe that ALL the birds in the area have taken up residence in our barn because the barley is being eaten at an incredible rate and birds are flying in and out all day lol...

I have seen sparrows pigeons doves crows etc. Not to mention the chickens in and out of there dodging the snow .

wow! on the weather channel they just said even colder air is coming from Canada colder than right now & at the same time well todays the 6th & this time frame is Monday & a storm moving into the eastern us at the same time. i had a gut feeling this was gonna be the same kinda winter as last year. i had my heat set to 72 & the room temp dropped to 71. when i turned it up to 73 the emergency hot air setting came on. my dad keeps turnin off my christmas tree at nite becuz of electric use. im like-- dad those lites use very little electric its the 1.5 ton heating unit outside that fuels the bill. got a gas stove mounted on the wall in the basement so if it werent for that it would be even more!! i gave up on stressin over these bills a long time ago they are what they are they raise rates whenever they want so watta ya do i finally got to the point where im just like Gods in control give everything to Him He has blessed me so much this SSD check the bank is like theres more coming an xtra $221 comin thru so they started payin my med part b premiums for nov & dec Praise the Lord!!!

I am no expert on birds but I think it might be a female blackbird. She seemed impervious to the cold and intent on pecking the berries...

Hello everyone and big {{{{hugs}}}}.
