I had refrained from really celebrating the Christmas holidays due to losses in my immediate family for at least 13 years until this year. I have been thinking that consideration should be given to changing the Christmas and New Year's holidays, "holi-daze".

Of course, part of my current daze has come from being reunited with my adopted daughter after being estranged after eight years (2010 - Christmas miracle #1). With miracle #1, came miracle #2, the gift of a beautiful two year-old grand daughter!! Well just those two events is enough to put anyone in a daze.

However, also with the placement of Christmas and New Years on a Saturday, it has really thrown my inner compass off. So i was thinking that I am probably not alone, and would reach out to anyone else on this fine website that may be feeling similarly.

Wishing everyone on PC a wonderful, joyful and healthful New Year with lots of good friends by their sides ~

Hi EJ,

Ah, what a wonderful miracle Christmas you had this year.

Interesting, I really actually loved that Christmas was on a Saturday this year ....much better than when it's on a Sunday. I had a friend that needed me to help her move her horse......on Christmas Eve day when I was actually planning on finishing up my baking & delivering all my baked goodies to everyone......Sunday, I was invited to a friends house for a late afternoon dinner (gave me a chance to finish baking te things I didn't get finished the day before)......but not enough time to deliver everything......It was great because I still had Sunday that was like a carry over from Christmas day....since no one had to go back to work until Monday.....it was like a sort of extended celebration of Christmas this year & it was very enjoyable to have some time to just visit with my friends. For some reason, the way the days fell this year worked out better for me than it has other years. I have a terrible time as I constantly loose track of what day it is in the week even when I'm not celebrating a holiday......fuzzy brain.

Glad you had a wonderful Christmas.....was thinking about what a wonderful time you would be having this year....glad it turned out wonderful.
