Well, we got our once-a-year snowfall. This one's worse than any I can remember. Two of the three power substations are down so there's rolling blackouts, and the cable has gone out three times today. Some records are just not supposed to be broken; for today we had a record low temp, a record low high temp and it's expected that tomorrow will have record lows too... Everything is closed today and tomorrow. The snow is really dry and powdery and just under three inchesbut everything is covered in ice.

I am sorry to hear about the power and the cable blackouts. I hope you are keeping warm though and have enough food so you don't have to go out. Be safe traveling and sending warm wishes with the signal your way too.
Thanks for this!

There was another blackout tonight but it was only about 45 minutes. At least today wasn't as cold as yesterday, despite the monster icicles hanging off the house, the shed and the front of my car...

At least it's not going to be too cold now; it's all moving out.
