I was chatting with a friend of mine earlier today. She was talking about things going on in her life that were very upsetting and frustrating. She mentioned that even her medication wasn't helping.
I asked her what was she thankful for. Got her to list a few things.

This wasn't to say the things that had her upset weren't serious issues, but sometimes we just need to remember to keep up the balance. It's not always easy, but it's something that we can do to ease the pain.

Difficulties come up and smack us in the face all the time. We gotta keep our guard up and have our weapons at ready.

I'm thankful for you welcoming me to PC and I'm thankful for your dog, too.

I am thankful for the Faith I still have,
For the children I hear playing and romping at the park,
for the spirit that still resides in me to show me the way to health and joy,
for the gift of laughter,
for my wondrous dog--who has stayed alive for me, though old and sad for me
for this place to come to,
that i still have a roof over my head,
that i am not on Oxygen, or corticosteroidal therapy for my COPD,
that I can still walk, and enjoy the beauty found in nature,
for the memories of my children when they were young, and a delight to be with,
for the strength that still within me dwells,
for a neighbor who has shown me kindness,
for Oatmeal, which keeps me alive and nourished,
for all my memories of my mom--even the bad ones,
for the stars up in the sky,
for the decency, and goodness that dwells in all mankind...........theo

What a delightful thread!! Such an exceptionally good idea to have started it!!

I am thankful for you (((((Kayelless)))))--you are an inspiration to me!

My girlfriend and the joy she brings/the support she gives.
The fact that I am fortunate enough to be able to go to school and study something I like.
That life now is better than life was just a relatively short time ago.
That I am alive and healthy, capable of enjoying what life has to offer.

I'm thankful for having found PC all those years ago, and the many members I have learned from, that have helped me grow, and have became close friends. I"m also grateful this community continues to grow

I'm thankful for my mistakes in life, they teach me to grow, and the people in my life that have stood by my side and helped me grow

I am thankful for the sunshine, nature, my doggies, and that today is another day in the right direction

I"m also very thankful that it is summer, and a well needed break from classes
Thanks for this!

Today I'm thankful for my new friend Lou who just sent me a link to some great music.

He and I share lots of the same musical interests and he's a wealth of information regarding a lot of the entertainers and bands.

I was feeling a bit frustrated with the negativity that thrives on my other networking site and done with it for the day when I got a PM from Lou. Now I'm up dancing and feeling good.

And I'm thankful for PC again, today. Reading over this thread has definitely helped my mood.

Today I'm thankful for making new friends on PC and being able to make a difference.

I was just told that concepts about life that I shared with another revealed to him a clearer vision of life and how to approach some of the tougher issues in America. That's an amazing feeling to know that something that I believe is a positive point of view encouraged someone else to change their mind to look at things from that same standpoint.

It's nothing about ego, but it is a great feeling to know that I've done something to inspire someone to seek a more positive direction in life.

I'm, also, thankful for the music that has enriched my life. I was doing a lot of browsing through music of my teenage years last night and then sharing those experiences with my friend Lou. The resulting conversations and additional sharing of music favorites was extraordinary.

Also, I'm thankful that last night while working on some website development I had been stuck on a problem in need of a solution. Finally, I got up and shaved and showered and while in the shower the answer came to me!
It's great how sometimes when we put a problem down and do something else the answers work their way out and are revealed to us.

We are thankful for life and the ability to feel. And we are thankful for each of you that give us strength each day to walk on and see that healing is possible. We are thankful for the very breath we take each time we breath.

We are thankful that we reached one more time and for our friend who listened. And we are thankful for PC.
