Not a doctor, ariesmars, but it doesn't sound all that terribly bad to me. You probably can get rid of it by watching television for three days straight. Or reading six books from your last library intake. Or sleeping an awful lot. Of course, if you develop a fever of 115 degrees, or break your leg, or your face turns chartreuse, it would be probably a good idea to go to the ER. But what do I know? Not only am I not a doctor, I'm not even a medicine man! A shaman! A witch doctor! If I were you, I'd eat lots and lots of McDonalds' take-out and $5 Little Caesar pizzas, with some Chinese thrown in for good measure. And I'd read "Alice in Wonderland" over and over and over.

And THEN THE DISEASE WILL BE GONE! Most of the time, anyway. If you wake up dead then you can complain. But DON'T FORGET MCDONALD'S! That's key to survival.

Take care!

Good thing you're not a doctor Yrgec23 lol....we would all be dead JK.

Seriously though - sorry to hear you're sick (((ariesmars)). Is it the flu or a cold? If your fever goes over 103 or lasts more than 3 days, then you should visit your doctor. Eat some hot soup and drink lots of fluids - green tea and natural ginger tea is great for coughs. Be careful with over the counter meds and be sure to ask a pharmacist in case of drug interactions. I hope you feel better in a couple days.

Hope you were able to survive working while being sick. Know when I'm sick I don't even want to get out of bed to do anything.....but get restless being in bed also. Hate colds with the sore throat & the nose that's either running so fast I can't catch it or it's so stopped up I can't even breath......being sick's the pits.

Do you take any natural herbs & vitamine C which is to help us keep from getting sick? If not, that might be a good thing to look into.

Yrgec has a gread sense of humor....however, I don't think Yrgec was kidding about the MacDonalds...lol. Fast foods have so much preservatives in them....think anything that eats them will be preserved forever.....LOL...JK (Just Kidding)

Wishing you to get well....

((((((( Ariesmars! )))))))

People -- live with them and you get sick. I'm sorry you've caught whatever you've caught, Ariesmars. Do you have any tried-and-true remedies for this illness?

Hmmm... Do Zentai suits have any health benefits?

If you're having trouble in the number 2 department - you can buy Immodium but check with the pharmasict if it will mix with your meds. There's also certain foods and even a diet called the BRAT diet - this stands for bananas, rice, applejuice and black tea - all of these foods are constipating, so they're good for someone who has diarhea. Hope you feel better soon.

Also if you are drinking a lot of water, it's always a good thing to be able to the bathroom quickly.....when I drink a lot of water when I'm sick, the having to go hits so quickly, there's no time to deal with things that are hard to get off.

During the winter, I live in sweat pants & shirts because I have to keep my house so cool. Easy on cloths are a blessing when one has to go to the bathroom quickly.

i thought i wouldnt...

(((((ariesmars)))))) Airborn viruses are the pits! Even if your folks were really careful, you'd probabl still have gotten it. As for your boss, that's what bosses do. They never are real happy to hear that you're sick and can't come in. Forget it. Don't let it get t you. She's not your realtive or anything, she won't care really about how you're feeling, and we've all been there. YOU take care of YOU. Glad to hear that you are taking it easy. rest, wait till you get back on your feet, and before you know it, your body will take care of this. HUGGGGSSSS!

Isolate yourself as soon as you feel a symptom. Better yet, isolate yourself for a few days if you know you've come in contact with someone who has a cold. Lock yourself in a room and have people feed you by passing food to you on the end of a long pole. Don't touch anything that someone else might come in contact with.
LOL!

Ariesmars -- the Kind and Empathic! I wish there were more people like you in the world. It's true, though, the mild-tempered and those of us weakened by age or illness are too often "food" for the cruel.

Wishing you a speedy, complete recovery from the flu!

Sounds like you work with some immature people. It was kind of you to realize that the elderly gentleman was probably not able to talk any more clearly, dear. You know, you probablbly don't want to be the kind of person your work mates would like´, since they wold probably only like people who were shallow and immature like themselves. Try to see them talking about you as a sort of recommendation; you certainly don't fit in with the type of people who make fun of old folks! HUGGGGSSSSS dear.
