General curiosity, and possibly some helpful discussion

I am an INFP

I am
Artistic
Emotional
Experiance oriented

I am also
Considered 'strange' by others
have trouble accepting critique
often low on myself
Far to defensive if a personal law I hold dear is broken

I am engaged to an INTJ

Whar are you ? There are several tests online

The first time I took it I was an ESFJ. That was about 4-5 years ago. I took it about 8 months ago and was ENXJ meaning I scored equally on the emotion/thinker part.

I have taken the Myers-Briggs online several times. I assume this is an abbreviated version, so I take the results with a grain of salt. I always come out either INFJ or INFP ... Judging/Perceiving seems almost equally balanced, the INF is extremely strong.

Does anyone have a link where I could take a personality test to see what I am?

Here's one, and you can find several others, I will post the link of the first post as well

http://similarminds.com/cgi-bin/newmb.pl

Also the best descriptions of strengths and weaknesses of each type are found here

http://www.personalitypage.com/

For a consistant result you must be an honest as possible. I was either to hard or to forgiving of myself and i would get random results but once I was 100% honest I consistanly got INFP, though it is not uncommon for people to have one letter shift from time to time

I'm ISFJ - and a Protector! Hurrah! Superhero Amos to the rescue! Though I'm a lover not a fighter so I'll solve disputes with words and maybe some cupcakes.

Except I'm extremely introverted (89%) so I can only rescue you during quite library moments.

Introverted
Sensing
Feeling
Judging

We are also underappreciated doormats. We need to be needed. Huh. This explains a good deal. I've never had a paid job, been a volunteer for most of my life helping out those in need. Damn.

I like this quote:

"An adult ISFJ may drive a (later ashamed) friend or SO into a fit of temper over the ISFJ's unexplained moodiness, only afterwards to explain about a death in the family they "didn't want to burden anyone with." "

I think half my familiy must be ISFJ's!

I'm an INFP, but came close to the INFJ profile. Interesting how most of us here are introverts.

Perhaps it's not that most of us are introverts; it could be that introverts simply post more often because they are more comfortable here. While the extroverts are out talking to people. Please note: I'm not trying to say anything bad about introverts or extroverts it was just a thought.

I took the test and it said I was ENFP

You are:
  • slightly expressed extravert
  • moderately expressed intuitive personality
  • moderately expressed feeling personality
  • slightly expressed perceiving personality

I am now INFJ but it has changed over the years, and each time I have taken it. The providers have said it can be influenced by your current emotional state and many give it little credence.

If you get consistent results it can be helpful such as my Introverted and Intuitive never changes, so in looking for jobs I keep these things in mind but I knew this before I took the tests. However, I go back in forth between several others for the last two areas. I also have bipolar swings which affect my personality which affects these results; depression impacts it as does many other illnesses, not just mental ones affect your personality it turns out.

It is one of those tests that can be helpful but with caution in its advice. This is the 'judging/critical thinker' in me at the moment.
