I wanted to share the snow lady I made today. She dressed up for the Oscars. lol. The pile of snow behind her is the remenants of the last snow buddy that fell over on me last week. Hope she fairs better.

Fantastic - I loved making snowpeople when I was a kid. I don't have a yard now, or I'd still be at it.

great snow lady. Sure wish we would get enough snow to make a snow person....only get several inches at a time throughout the winter each week....just enough to make everything white. Ugh, this rain stinks...would rather have snow anyday....rain, lightening, thunder, tornadoes...yeech, this is winter if the weather hadn't noticed lately. Seasons getting all confused here it seems

That is a lovely snow lady, sanityseeker. I haven't seen enough snow all at once this winter to make anything out of it.

Are you somewhere near me? lol Totally not winter here either, though I'm pretty sure they're not calling for any twisters with our February thunderstorms. Though the way my week is going I would not be surprised . . .

What treat to see your response to my lady. Thanks everyone.

They told us this was going to be a particularly harsh winter this year and they were spot on. We have had record colds and this dump is no exception. We have broken a lot of records this winter.

Normally our winter weather is more like you describe Eskie and Night. We might get a light snow in February but nothing like this. I like the odd snow fall but this is over the top. I have been shovelling so much snow these last few days and it looks like I will be at it again today. I can't believe the schools didn't call for a snow day. They are nuts. I am keeping my son home just the same.

They say the rain is coming soon for the next 5 days. What a mess that is going to be. Over a foot has already fallen and it's snowing again this morning. I can't believe they haven't called a snow day. I have. lol.

I love making snow buddies. It is my favourite part of winter. My snow lady has put her coat on over night, complete with a hood. lol. I may make her a partner before the rains hit.

Well now you are really challenging my carving skills As a cat lover myself you are tempting me to give it a try. I may need my cat as a model but I doubt she is interested in helping me out.

She is not at all impressed with snow. She is sitting as I type by the open window in my room that is her way outside. She has been there for quite a while. Normally she has no hesitation. She is just watching the snow coming down and no doubt wishing she didn't have to go out there. She knows she needs to go out to do her duties but she is putting it off as long as she can. I shoveled a path for her through the snow, like I always do when the snow comes. I clear a path for her towards the big cedar trees where there are actually bare spots. The path filled in some with the overnight snow and she seems to know that.

She's beautiful Sanityseeker. I'll bet there's a couple of snowmen off in the distance saying to each other: "Do you smell.......CARROTS? "

Thank you Okami. Last year I made a whole family of them. Like always I faced them into my living room window and it would be one of the first places I would go to say goodmorning and the last place I go to say goodnight.

Perhaps a bit silly but it nurtures my inner child so silly or not it brightens my day to see them always there with smiles on their faces looking back at me. So long as they don't start talking back to me its all good.
