if a person truly believe he OR she is deathproof and cannot die is there something wrong. what if they try to hurt themselves to prove it and nothing happens to them at all, defying all explanation.

thedeathproof--hi, how are you?

In my opinion (if I completely understand your question), no mortal should ever believe they are incapable of physical dying.

We are all mortals; a basic fact of life is that we all have to pay our bills, and get used to the idea that our bodies will , one day, fail; and we will be physically dead.

Our bodies are marked for "planned obsolescence"--we have an expiration date; we just don't know when.

"Defying all explanation" and not dying does not make anyone "deathproof."

I've had some incredible experiences with this myself--I should have been dead--
but it was a no go for me.

We all physically die when it's time; and not before.

If you don't mind, I send you hugs, and a HUGE Welcome to P.C.---theo

Hello, thedeathproof. Have you talked to your psychiatrist or therapist about your theory?

Be safe.

Maybe that's how the guy who climbs sky scrapers without a line feels.

Good idea to talk to someone with letters after their name before you act on your conviction. Very, very few immortals post here on PC. In fact, though my years here are short, I think you'd be the first. The odds are NOT on your side. It may be hard to believe, but your conviction may be out to lunch. Myself, I believe in God. But I have to wait until he calls me before I go. Why don't we compromise on that: You'll wait until near the end and then see. No jumping of the gun. After all, from the point of view of eternity you're only here for a few seconds. So you CAN wait before you put your idea to the test. And, further, there are much more effective ways to exercise your sense of humor. Take care!
